Zoe Hudgins became a team member at The Inn four years ago, but she has been a part of our extended family since 2014 when she first attended Heroes Week as a participant. The annual summer discipleship program incorporates biblical instruction with practical life-skills training and physical challenges to strengthen the mind, body and spirit. Zoe loved the experience so much that she kept coming back until she eventually joined our staff.
As our program coordinator, Zoe’s main responsibilities include overseeing the kitchen and managing program logistics. She is gifted in the art of hospitality and knows how to make things special. Whether it’s a birthday or dinner, she pulls out all the stops when it comes to entertaining. Over the years, she has graciously filled a wide variety of roles as needed, and we have been blessed by her flexibility and her heart to serve.
Zoe will soon be stepping away from her position at The Inn to pursue the next chapter of God’s calling on her life. Find out where she’s headed and what she’ll remember most from her time with us.
What’s next for you, Zoe?
I have been working part-time as the manager of Renee’s Cake Shop here in Franklin, NC, and I am transitioning to full-time. I have a bachelor’s degree in Baking & Pastry Arts from Johnson & Wales, and I look forward to bringing new ideas as well as some organization to the business.
What is your favorite thing to bake?
I get asked this question a lot, and I change my answer every time! Currently, I have enjoyed making French macarons because of the variety of colors and flavors that are possible.
What made the greatest impact on you personally during your tenure at The Inn?
The biggest impact year after year has been witnessing families come in for Train to Reign. We have had couples on the brink of divorce, kids out of control and lost individuals come through our doors. The Lord does miracles every single time and I’ve seen families do a complete 180.
What would you like to say to the leadership and staff as you look back on nearly 10 years of memories?
There are so many people to think that I can’t list all of them! I am grateful to call The Inn home. It has been a landing place for me for many years. I have walked away with so many foundational lessons and tools to continue my walk with the Lord. I will miss everyone there and hope to help when I’m available.
A Shining Light
“The Inn is a very special place and a big part of what makes it so special is those who pour out their lives into this ministry. Zoe, in particular, impacted our daughter, Grace, significantly with her extravagant hospitality and genuine care for those the Lord places before her. Zoe is the true definition of a Proverbs 31 woman and a shining light for women of all ages who want to be more like Jesus.”
– Jessie Williams, Guest & Grateful Mother
All of us at The Inn will miss you, Zoe, and we’re glad you won’t be far away. Thank you for your dedicated service and your ability to make people feel seen and cared for. May God bless the work he has placed before you!
