To those in the Body of Christ who knew and were blessed by Sally Fesperman’s friendship and ministry, we are saddened to let you know that she passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 19. She was 98 years old.
Sally was a prayer warrior and spent much of her time in intercession for our country, for those who worked with her, and for the innumerable people who passed through The Inn’s doors. Sally ministered to so many whose marriages were desperate for a much-needed touch from the Lord. She shared wisdom from the Word of God freely to those who crossed her way day after day. She possessed a deep love for young people and spent over 70 years sharing the love of God with them.
Sally and her husband, Jay, gave their lives to bring the Kingdom of God a little closer to our fragmented world. Her love and wisdom for those who knew her will be greatly missed.
The last time we visited her, Sally’s whisper was, “Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus.”
We are reminded of the words to this beautiful song which is now wonderfully completed in her transition from earth into heaven.
Going home, going home,
I’m just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I’ll be going home.
It’s not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
