The Inn was built in the 1940s and has been a home to many travelers over the decades. We are happy you arrived here safely and hope you had no trouble on your way. We are honored to host you and your family as our guests!

The Inn has a rich history and has been known throughout the world for its outreach to families, Christian leaders and young people. Our beautiful 42-acre property is filled with various wildlife and trails. Please feel free to explore the campus at your leisure!

House Rules

a few things to remember
  • Wear shoes indoors and outdoors, especially in the kitchen.
  • If you would like to store any food items or prepare a meal, please let a staff member know.
  • Be respectful of personal belongings.
  • Please keep personal items contained to your room.
  • Do not enter rooms that are not yours, and do not disturb guests or staff when doors are closed.
  • Do not use iPads or computers that belong to the ministry.
  • Please do not use offices for personal use, unless given explicit permission by a staff member.
  • Quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. Please keep any after-hours visiting with other guests to the living room and dining room.
  • Exterior doors will be locked by 11 p.m.

HISTORIC DOWNTOWN FRANKLIN
Downtown Franklin features three museums that showcase the city’s history, and all are in walking distance of each other. The Macon County Historical Museum, Franklin Gem & Mineral Museum and Scottish Tartans Museum (the only museum of its kind in the world) each display a unique piece of Franklin’s history and heritage.
HIKING TRAILS

Franklin is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, and tucked away you will discover plenty to do in the great outdoors. Hiking trails such as the famous Appalachian Trail and Bartram Trail line the landscape. There are abundant waterfalls in the area, as well as other outdoor activities such as mountain biking and whitewater rafting.

ENTERTAINMENT

The Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts is a 1,500-seat state-of-the-art facility presenting the finest in live events and entertainment. Performances include Broadway-style plays and musical productions, dance and choral festivals, lectures, recitals, special events, movies and award-winning touring concerts.
